This is my newest pride and joy! This is the 2010 Calico Hutch Block of the Month (my first BOM!). It's done in earth-tone batiks and the finishing kit made it into this HUGE quilt. Officially the biggest one I've ever done!
I also quilted it myself - sort of. There's a fantastic business concept called "Quilt Yourself" in Savage, MN, where you learn to do long-arm quilting on a Statler Stitcher and you can rent the machine to quilt it yourself. I spent 10 hours doing the quilting on this.
I got a Champion ribbon on it from the Freeborn County Fair in Albert Lea, MN.
This is a fun quilt that I just haven't figured out what to do with. It is a one-block wonder from a "hot sauce bottle" design. (Used Maxine Rosenthal's book)

This purple quilt was a mystery quilt that my sister thought would work very well at her nursing home that was in the midst of being re-done. I need to get there and see it hanging and get a better picture than this one.
I long-arm quilted this on a Gammill Vision Long-Arm machine.
This is a Block of the Month quilt that I did with a fun quilt store in Eagan (MN). Quilt Cove is a quilter's dream because they are very "kit-focused" as well having one of the best monthly quilter's club called the "Quarter Inch Club." Sue (the owner) shows the newest fabrics, patterns, kits, and always has a demo of a new product.
I haven't quilted it yet as I'm contemplating doing it by hand.
(Full disclosure: this is a picture of the sample and not my finished quilt because it's too big for me to get a decent photo)
Bought this kit from Calico Hutch (Hayward, MN). The pattern is called Confetti and it's from the book Super Simple Fat Quarter Quilts by Lynda Milligan & Nancy Smith.
This another quilt that I've pieced but haven't quilted yet. I have orange minky fabric for the backing.
Wow, I've had this one sitting around for a long time! And here's a surprise - it's not quilted yet.
These last three un-quilted quilts are all small enough to do on my regular machine, so why haven't a managed to get them done.
This is a great log cabin quilt with one of my favorite color combinations - blue & yellow.
This is one of my very early quilts! I think I made it in the early 1990s for my nephew Aaron. My plan was to make a quilt for each of my 9 nieces and nephews. They were allowed to pick out the pattern and the colors. I only managed to make 5 of the 9 quilts in the 90's before my life went into another direction and I left quilting behind (gasp!)
Aaron's middle name is Thomas, so I think he liked the "T" pattern.
It's interesting to look at this quilt now and realize how much easier it would be make it because of the skills I have learned in the last couple of years.
